Een van die Graaff-Reinetse burgers, Adriaan Nel, het ook aan die Rebellie van Slagtersnek deelgeneem en moes tot straf die teregstelling van die vyf manne bywoon. Thus inventoried and valued at Rietpoort in the district of
Somerset on the 17th day of the month of August in the year of our Lord 1829
according to a statement made by the survivor, who declared to have acted
herein bonafide and that to the best of his knowledge he has not withheld or
secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate and the said appearer
further declared that he is willing and will at all times be ready and willing
to confirm his statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time
that if after the date of these presents any property of this estate might be
discovered shall and will communicate it to the Agent of the Orphan Chamber in
order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered.
