Roman was first married to Orpha M Wortley (1909 - 1932) They were living in Dan's John Kloss house and she was teaching at the Limerick School. She was killed in an auto accident at the corner of Portland Road and Jordan Lake Road. She is buried at Lakeside Cemetery. On May 24 1937, he married Loretta Andres. They lived in North Berlin Township on Riverside Drive opposite the State Hospital. He attended the Durkee School and St. Peter and Paul Academy. He was very active in the Ionia Hunting & Fishing Club and Orleans Duck Club. In retirement they lived at 611 W. Hubbell Road, Sec 25 Orleans, and then at 1133 Yeomans Street, lot 39.
