The Leader / Tremonton, UT
------------------------------
Elizabeth Wortley Evans

TREMONTON, UT - Tremonton-Elizabeth Wortley Evans, 87, passed away peacefully on Oct. 23, 2008, in Tremonton, Utah, surrounded by family and friends.

Elizabeth was born on a Sunday in a little house in Garland, Utah, on Feb. 27, 1921, to Lawrence Wortley and Deborah May King. In 1940 Elizabeth married Floyd H. Evans, whom later died in 1977. Then in later years married Keith Fullmer. Knowing her true love, she later changed her name back to Elizabeth Evans. As a member of the LDS church, she served as a Primary Teacher, and played the Organ in church for 45 years. After the death of her first husband, she served a proselyting mission, in Independence, Missouri.

She enjoyed doing genealogy and making many quilts for the humanitarian. Hearing the train pass by her home, just as it did when she was a little girl, and the Christmas season were also things that she enjoyed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a baby brother, grandparents, two husbands and two sisters, Alice May Buxton and Ruth Schneiter. She is survived by one sister Agnes Aamodt, and her children: Harvey (Leslie) Evans, Serene (Cecil) Stephens, Jenelle (Ste
ve) Thatcher, and Debbie (Dennis) Dietz, and many grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

A viewing was held Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Rudd Funeral Home, followed by the Interment in the Garland cemetery. A luncheon was served at the Tremonton South Stake Center after the Interment. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
